MOU for Securing Electrical Safety in Key Telecommunications Facilities


Korea Electrical Safety Corporation (KESCO), Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA), KT, and LG Uplus signed a business agreement on the 25th to secure electrical safety for national key telecommunications facilities.

This agreement was made to ensure the stability of electrical facilities in national key telecommunications infrastructure to prevent telecommunications disasters in the era of 5G.

Specific areas of cooperation include: efficient safety management of electrical equipment in wired and wireless communication facilities; provision of stable communication services in the event of a disaster in apartment buildings and multi-use facilities; prevention of electrical safety accidents in buildings related to major communication facilities; and development of ICT-based electrical safety management convergence system technologies.

Under this agreement, the four companies will strengthen their cooperative relationship to prevent electrical disasters in national key telecommunications facilities and diversify activities to ensure electrical safety in national key telecommunications facilities, thereby strengthening efforts to provide telecommunications facilities that the public can use with peace of mind even in the event of a disaster.
