Cisco Systems has built an ultra-high-speed wireless network infrastructure based on 'Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)' technology, a next-generation wireless network core standard, at Mirae Asset Life Insurance branches nationwide.

With this construction, Mirae Asset Life Insurance was able to resolve the imbalance in wireless service quality among branches and improve the work efficiency of insurance planners by improving the speed and stability of the wireless network.

Mirae Asset Life Insurance has been reorganizing its wireless infrastructure at branches due to the increase in users and the surge in network traffic at access points (APs). In addition, the existing network environment, which merged solutions from multiple vendors, made it difficult to manage the network in an integrated manner and respond immediately to sudden failures, requiring improvements in network management and stability.

Wi-Fi 6 provides a near-real-time user experience based on a connection coverage that is more than four times larger than existing networks and greatly improved low latency. Cisco's Wi-Fi 6 technology automatically sets the optimal wireless channel and output power according to changes in the network environment, effectively responding to coverage holes caused by AP failures, and preventing traffic concentration by identifying the number of connected terminals per AP.

Cisco has optimized the work environment at branches where numerous devices are connected based on the consistent network connectivity and large-capacity data processing capabilities of Wi-Fi 6.

In addition, it is designed to allow for the step-by-step application of wireless facilities in the future, thereby increasing investment protection and expandability. In addition, by changing from the existing standalone AP configuration to a controller type, service efficiency in the operation and roaming sectors has been improved.
