Mobile homes become more convenient with LG Uplus IoT!
Published2019.10.02 16:34Mobile homes, which are gaining popularity as 'second homes' for country living or weekend farms, are becoming 'premium mobile homes' capable of not only security and monitoring but also remote control when combined with LG Uplus IoT.
LG Uplus announced on the 2nd that it will supply IoT solutions to Justin House, a mobile home manufacturer. The IoT solutions being supplied include five types: home CCTV, IoT plug, IoT switch, AI speaker, and AI remote control hub.
The biggest feature of IoT-equipped mobile homes is that the indoor status can be checked and operated remotely at any time using the LG Uplus IoT@home application.
For example, home CCTV allows for 24-hour monitoring and intrusion detection of the mobile home. You can control the heating and cooling systems or turn on the lights via an application to coincide with the time of the visit.
The exterior of the mobile home also becomes convenient. By connecting with an IoT plug, it is possible to enjoy a 'smart' rural life, such as turning on LED lights for hydroponics, watering vegetable gardens, or feeding animals while on the move.
In addition, while mobile homes are characterized by low construction costs, another strength is that, just like premium apartments, they allow users to easily operate LG U+ Home IoT devices and separately purchased appliances such as robot vacuums, rice cookers, and humidifiers with a single voice command using an AI speaker.
Cho Dong-woo, Head of Home Partnership Sales at LG Uplus, said, “In the recently booming mobile home market, IoT technology will enhance the convenience of rural living while securing the security and safety that customers are most concerned about.”
Meanwhile, Justin House is a competitive small and medium-sized enterprise established in 2015 in the field of manufacturing mobile wooden houses, timber, and bathtubs, and operates a mobile house showroom in Wonju, Gangwon-do.

U+, Mobile IoT Communication 'LTE-M1' Nationwide Network Service Begins
LG유플러스가 IoT 통신 LTE-M1의 전국망 서비스를 개시한다고 밝혔다. LTE-M1은 HD급 이미지, 동영상 등 중급 용량의 데이터를 빈번하게 전송하는 서비스에 적합한 IoT 기술이다. 전력 효율이 높아 다량의 데이터를 전송하더라도 수년간 배터리 걱정 없이 서비스를 제공한다. 특히 블랙박스, 전기 자전거와 같이 이동형 단말 및 관제 서비스 영역에서 IoT 확대의 근간이 될 것으로 보인다.

LG Uplus and PTC Sign MOU to Build Digital Twin Platform
Digital twin is a technology that implements objects from the real world identically in a virtual environment. LG Uplus and PTC have signed a strategic partnership agreement for building a 5G-based digital twin platform. Through this agreement, they plan to construct a digital twin platform by converging PTC's IoT and AR technologies with LG Uplus's 5G communication network-based technology, and develop a remote diagnostic service for tractors in smart farms based on this platform. Starting from the agriculture sector, they plan to explore new business opportunities in fields such as smart factories and smart cities.

European Patent Applications Surpass 200,000 for the First Time… South Korea Maintains 5th Place, Led by Batteries and Telecommunications
According to the European Patent Office (EPO)'s 'Technology Dashboard 2025', European patent applications last year reached 201,974, surpassing 200,000 for the first time. Korean companies and inventors filed 14,355 applications, representing a 9.5% increase from the previous year and maintaining 5th place by country. SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK텔레콤이 3월 21일 서울 광화문 일대에서 열린 대형 K-팝 공연에 AI 기반 네트워크 운영 시스템을 처음 적용해 통신 품질을 관리했다고 밝혔다. 공연 전후 3시간 동안 모바일 데이터 사용량은 12.15TB로 직전 주말 같은 시간대보다 약 2배 늘었다. SK텔레콤은 AI 시스템 ‘A-One’을 활용해 5분 단위, 50m 단위로 트래픽을 감시하며 과부하 가능성에 대응했고, 임시 통신 시설과 현장 인력 운영도 병행했다. 밀집 행사와 외국인 이용 수요가 동시에 늘어나는 환경에서 AI 기반 자율 네트워크 운영의 현장 적용 가능성을 확인한 사례로 해석된다.
