On the 3rd, Schneider Electric announced the first version of the 'Galaxy VS 3-phase UPS' equipped with an integrated smart battery module.

The Galaxy VS is an easy-to-install, high-efficiency modular 3-phase UPS designed to meet the critical power requirements of IT facilities, commercial and industrial facilities.

Its compact design makes it suitable for limited spaces, and it allows for 24/7 management of equipment performance and status through Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure IT Expert and EcoStruxure Asset Advisor.

Critical system components are manufactured modularly to provide fast service and fault tolerance. In addition, it offers up to 99% efficiency when operating in Schneider Electric's patented 'ECOnversion' mode. Depending on the model, the initial investment can be recovered within 2 to 3 years through energy savings.

The Galaxy VS 10–50kW (400V), equipped with an integrated smart battery module, improves availability through enhanced battery flexibility and monitoring, redundant battery strings, and self-configuration. It reduces risk by ensuring that critical loads are always protected through highly predictable runtime and battery redundancy. The battery is integrated into the UPS cabinet, optimizing space and meeting the unique requirements of edge computing and critical infrastructure.

The Galaxy VS was first introduced in April 2019 as an external battery supporting 20–100kW (400V/480V) and 10–50kW (208V). Equipped with a built-in smart battery module, it is available worldwide, excluding China and Japan, and offers two cabinet options with specifications of 10–50kW (400V), 10–25kW (208V), and 20–50kW (480V), depending on power and runtime requirements. It also includes a drive service that guarantees optimization of system performance, quality, and safety.
