LG OLED TV Wins CES Innovation Award for Eighth Consecutive Year


LG Electronics will participate in CES 2020, the world's largest consumer electronics show, held in Las Vegas, USA from the 7th to the 10th (local time).

LG Electronics, which has set up a booth measuring 2,044㎡, will introduce ▲LG ThinQ-based AI home appliances ▲robot services such as the LG CLOi Dining solution ▲real 8K TV ▲ultra-premium home appliances LG SIGNATURE, etc.

At the entrance to the exhibition hall, a sculpture made up of approximately 200 OLED signage panels will be installed. Approximately 20 rollable OLED TVs will also be displayed. In addition to the existing roll-up method, a rollable OLED TV with a roll-down method that unfolds the screen from top to bottom will also be introduced.

The LG ThinQ Zone, the largest area among LG Electronics' booths, consists of the LG ThinQ Home, a home AI solution, the Connected Car Zone that brings AI experience to mobility, the ThinQ Fit Collection where you can experience realistic virtual fitting, and the CLOi's Table, a dining solution utilizing robots.


LG Electronics Focuses on 8K OLED TVs
LG Electronics will also unveil a diverse lineup of new "Real 8K" TVs to capture the ultra-high-definition TV market. The 88-inch and 77-inch "LG Signature OLED 8K" 8K OLED TVs and the 75-inch "LG NanoCell 8K" 8K LCD TV will also be on display.

All LG Electronics 8K TV models have over 33 million pixels and a picture clarity (CM) value of 90% in both the horizontal and vertical directions, delivering clear 8K resolution in any direction, up, down, left, or right. It also meets all the '8K UHD' certification standards of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), which hosts CES, and uses the corresponding certification logo.

LG Electronics also equipped its new 8K TVs with an enhanced AI processor, the "Alpha 9 Gen3." Based on deep learning algorithms, the Alpha 9 Gen3 learns over a million pieces of video information and tens of millions of pieces of audio information, then compares and analyzes them with the original video to achieve optimal picture quality and sound.

In addition, a 145-inch 'Micro LED Signage' with 4K resolution and an 80-inch 'Mini LED TV' with 8K resolution, a type of LCD TV, will also be unveiled.


Premium home appliances, including plant growers, are becoming increasingly diverse.
Following Germany's IFA 2019, LG Electronics collaborated with renowned Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas to transform the LG SIGNATURE exhibition zone into a luxury gallery. LG Electronics showcased its full lineup of LG SIGNATURE products, including OLED TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, air purifiers, air conditioners, top-freezer and bottom-freezer refrigerators, and wine cellars.

At this exhibition, LG Electronics will be exhibiting home appliances such as the large-capacity twin wash equipped with an AI DD (Direct Drive) motor and the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator. We are also introducing a large-capacity styler that is very popular in Korea.

We're also unveiling a new premium plant cultivation device, a home-grown vegetable garden. This product leverages LG's home appliance technologies, including the precision temperature control and constant-temperature technology of the Dios refrigerator, inverter technology, the water supply control technology of the PuriCare water purifier, the air conditioning technology of the Whisen air conditioner, and LED wavelength and light intensity control.

LG is introducing the 'UltraFine Ergo' monitor (32UN880) with an ergonomic design for the first time.

This product allows you to pull the screen forward to the desired position without moving the stand, and rotate the monitor in various directions. Suitable for users who experience pain in the neck and shoulders due to working on the monitor for long periods of time or using the monitor in an incorrect posture.

LG Electronics will exhibit the LG G8X ThinQ, which was officially released in the North American market in late 2019, and the LG Dual Screen. Inside the booth, LG Electronics will display a gallery of 30 smartphones, showcasing various uses for the Dual Screen. There will also be a space where visitors can experience content optimized for the LG Dual Screen.

In addition, various products will be exhibited, including the ultra-light, high-performance laptop LG Gram 17, the high-performance gaming monitor LG UltraGear, the monitor that allows for multiple tasks simultaneously on a wide screen LG UltraWide, and the soundbar and XBOOM speaker that implement high-quality sound in collaboration with Meridian Audio.


LG OLED TV Wins CES Innovation Award for Eighth Consecutive Year
LG OLED TVs have won three CES Innovation Awards, marking the eighth consecutive year of accolades. In the home appliances category, the LG Styler clothing care device won for the second consecutive year. The LG PuriCare Mini Air Purifier also received an Innovation Award.

The overseas version of the LG V50S ThinQ, the 'LG G8X ThinQ', as well as the 5G smartphone 'LG V50 ThinQ' and the 4G smartphone 'LG G8 ThinQ' also won CES Innovation Awards. In addition, the 'LG Craft Ice Refrigerator', 'LG Gram 17 Laptop', and two 'Soundbars' also won innovation awards.
