Velodyne Lidar unveiled Velabit, a micro-sensor for 3D Lidar, at CES 2020 on the 7th.
Velavit utilizes Velodyne's LiDAR technology to achieve the same performance and technology as the latest sensor product family, serving as a catalyst applicable to various industries.

The ultra-compact Velabit can be attached to almost anywhere, including vehicles, robots, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and infrastructure, providing an optimal automotive-grade LiDAR solution for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles.

Equipped with detection capabilities for blind spot monitoring, intersection detection, automatic emergency braking, and pedestrian and cyclist safety, this mid-priced sensor, configurable according to customer requirements, can be combined with other Velodyne LiDAR sensors, such as Velarray, to be used as a standalone solution for high-speed or low-speed applications.

Bellabit achieved price optimization and mass production by resolving the price, safety, and design challenges associated with autonomous vehicles.

Especially, a size smaller than a playing card (2.4” x 2.4It provides excellent visibility of up to 100 meters with a 60-degree horizontal FoV and a 10-degree vertical FoV with a 1.38" x 1.38".

It also implements the proven Class 1 safety of 903-nanometer technology, and the bottom connector and cable length are selectable.
