SEMICON Korea 2020, held for 3 days from February 5th to 7th

Four keynote speakers for SEMICON Korea 2020 have been confirmed.

SEMICON Korea 2020, which will be held for three days from Wednesday, February 5 to Friday, February 7, will feature various programs that present key issues in the semiconductor industry.

Keynote speakers from SK Hynix, Intel, imec, and GRAPHCORE will share insights into future technologies, especially AI semiconductor implementation.

The first speaker will be SK Hynix Vice President Jin-Guk Kim, who will present on the topic of ‘Semiconductor Technology for the Future ICT World.’

Vice President Kim will discuss the importance of low-power memory semiconductors and high-performance memory semiconductors for future ICT and future semiconductor technologies being prepared at SK Hynix.

The second speaker, Intel Director Mike Davies, will present on the topic of ‘Neuromorphic Computing for Future Breakthroughs in AI.’

Director Davis will cover neuromorphic semiconductors that mimic the human brain and neural structures and characteristics to enable faster data processing and computational speeds and lower power efficiency.

The third speaker, Jan M. Rabaey, imec CTO and UC Berkeley Professor, will present on the topic of ‘The Cognitive Edge.’

Until now, investment and research in AI have focused on cloud AI. However, with the development of IoT and other technologies, the importance of edge AI, which can be realized without a network within a device, is increasing. Professor Rabai will explain this and discuss future challenges.

The fourth speaker, Nigel Toon, CEO of Graphcore, will present on the topic of ‘Building Silicon and Systems for AI.’
