Mouser Electronics and STMicroelectronics jointly publish an e-book analyzing products, strategies, and innovation ideas supplied to the industrial sensor market.

The e-book "Industrial Sensing Solutions" contains expert opinions from both companies regarding the latest strategies that can be established using industrial sensors, presents columns on MEMS technology advances, and outlines the essential roles that related devices will play in Industry 4.0.
It describes products applicable to Industry 4.0 applications, including the LSM6DSOX iNEMO inertial module and the ISM330DHCX iNEMO inertial SiP module. The System-in-Package (SiP) combines a 3-axis digital gyroscope and 3-axis digital accelerometer with low-power-consumption solutions and includes a machine learning core. The machine learning core is designed as a power-saving feature that enables the sensor to recognize activity without needing to wake the entire system.
Historically, sensors have been fixtures in industrial applications for a long time, but adoption rates were slow due to issues with installation costs, size, and accuracy. However, as miniature MEMS technology has advanced, the possibility of adopting sensors in smart factories has improved.
The e-book published this time examines technological developments that have occurred over the past 10 years while introducing various methods sensor manufacturers have employed to meet customer demands.
