The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Industrial Technology Promotion Association announced on the 18th that they will be recruiting 290 master's and doctoral students to participate in the 2020 'Engineering Professional Training (Master's and Doctoral) Program'.

Those who wish to participate in training can check out the 400 research and development projects (300 related to materials, parts, and equipment) of 18 government-funded research institutes and public research institutes across the country on the training program website .
For each research and development project, you can select and apply for the desired project by considering the capabilities (such as the ability to use specific research equipment) that can be acquired through guided training, your career path, and your desired career path.
The specialized training program for science and engineering professionals allows unemployed masters and doctorates in science and engineering to gain industrial experience and develop capabilities such as the ability to utilize national research equipment while conducting industry-related research and development projects at government-funded research institutes and public research institutes for nine months, and even support employment at excellent companies that require masters and doctorates.
Eligible participants are unemployed individuals who have earned a master's or doctoral degree in science or engineering within the past five years. Those scheduled to graduate in 2020 are also eligible, but foreigners who do not hold Korean citizenship are not eligible to apply.
Trainees are specialized in their fields You will have opportunities to interact with the industry, such as visiting companies related to your research project, and receive customized career counseling, such as information on excellent companies suitable for your major and career, and writing resumes, from a career counselor.
During the training period, trainees receive a training allowance of 2.5 million won per month for master's degree holders and 3.5 million won per month for doctoral degree holders.
Unemployed master's and doctoral degree holders in science and engineering who wish to participate in training can apply online to training institutions and projects by considering their major and desired field of employment on the website of the Science and Engineering Professional Training Program , and will be selected through a selection process including an interview.

Ministry of Science and ICT to Promote Training for Unemployed R&D Personnel in Materials, Parts, and Equipment Sector
The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Industrial Technology Advancement Association will recruit 80 master's and doctoral degree holders to participate in the 2019 supplementary budget science and engineering specialized technical training (master's and doctoral) program starting from the 27th. This program provides unemployed master's and doctoral degree holders in science and engineering with opportunities to gain industrial R&D experience by conducting industry-related R&D projects at government-funded research institutes and national/public research institutions, and supports their employment at excellent companies requiring master's and doctoral personnel by fostering R&D capabilities such as utilization of national research equipment. Young researchers who are currently unemployed will receive training at materials, parts, and equipment research institutions including the Korea Chemical Research Institute, Nano Comprehensive Technology Center, Korea Nano Technology Institute, Materials Research Institute, and Korea Institute of Science and Technology, and are expected to develop into industrial R&D professionals who will contribute to the future localization of materials, parts, and equipment.

The Ministry of Science and ICT will recruit companies for the SW High-Growth Club 200 project, which supports the growth of software venture SMEs, from February 12 to March 12.
