Google Cloud Platform Officially Opens Seoul Region

Google announced on the 19th that it has opened the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Seoul Region.
With the launch of the GCP Seoul Region, the first GCP region in Korea and the eighth region in the Asia Pacific region, Google now operates 21 regions and 64 zones in 16 countries around the world, including the opening of the Seoul Region.
The opening of the GCP Seoul region is expected to reduce data and application access latency for domestic and global companies conducting business in Korea.
The Seoul region will be comprised of three areas from its initial launch, enabling Google Cloud customers and partners to run high-availability workloads and store data domestically.
▲Google Cloud standard service product lineup including Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Bigtable, Cloud Spanner, and BigQuery are also provided.
For hybrid cloud customers Google Cloud's regional partner ecosystem and multiple Dedicated Interconnect locations enable seamless integration of new and existing services.
Domestic Google partners including Samsung Electronics, Netmarble, SK Telecom, LG Electronics, SundayToz, and Bespin Global have expressed their welcome for the opening of the Seoul region.
Meanwhile, Google plans to add regions and zones in several locations this year, including Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Jakarta, Indonesia.
