CyberLink Equips Industrial Computers with Face Recognition Engine

CyberLink announced on the 10th that it has equipped IEI's industrial computers with the FaceMe® AI facial recognition engine.

FACEMe is integrated into IEI’s FLEX-BX200 AI modular box PC to support AI acceleration of the Mustang-V100-MX8 VPU, providing a faster deep neural network computing environment.
Accelerating the computing environment with VPU and FaceMero can recognize faces 17.4 times faster than when using only a pure CPU solution, and power consumption can also be reduced.
CyberLink COO Mei Ku explained, “FaceMe is a foundational technology for various solutions by supporting most mainstream operating systems and IoT/AIoT hardware.”
"We also stated, 'Through our partnership with IEI, we have been able to optimize the performance of the FaceMe engine on edge devices and utilize it in smart retail, home, security, and public safety areas.'"
