Supermicro Launches Data Center-Dedicated COTS Servers

Supermicro Computer announced on the 10th the launch of a new 'MegaDC' (MegaDC) server product line as the industry's first hyperscale data center-dedicated Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution.

The new MegaDC servers enhance flexibility through open standards including OpenBMC with user-controllable features and versions, Advanced I/O Modules (AIOM) supporting OCP V3.0 SFF cards, and CRPS (Common Redundant Power Supplies).
MegaDC consists of five X11 systems comprising two 1U systems and three 2U systems, enabling the construction of large-scale cloud infrastructure leveraging economies of scale.
Additionally, it supports dual 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors, 16 memory slots, one AIOM slot, dual 25G Ethernet ports, and OpenBMC.
Furthermore, it provides △bulk packaging that reduces unboxing time △mechanical design optimized to maximize airflow to CPU/memory/GPU △low-resistance 12V single-source power distribution that enhances system availability and energy efficiency.

H.Energy has obtained green technology certification from the Small and Medium Business Administration for solar power generation forecasting and I-V curve anomaly diagnosis technology. The AI-based asset management platform SolarOnCare is deployed across more than 3,000 power plants nationwide, achieving a system uptime of 99.82% and a 3.7% improvement in power generation performance.
