Consecutive Wins of Overseas Defense Mobile Security Projects

Samsung SDS is achieving success in the global market by recently winning a mobile security project for the Italian defense industry.
Samsung SDS has been conducting mobile security business for the U.S. Department of Defense, the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, the UK Defence Agency, and Singaporean public institutions since 2015.

Based on this business experience and capabilities, Samsung SDS will provide a secure mobile work environment to Italian government agencies through the security features of its integrated mobile security solution, EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management).

This solution provides mobile functions necessary for national defense and public institutions, such as terminal management and remote control based on security policies for each user level, blocking of insecure network access, and prevention of the installation of non-work-related applications.

Samsung SDS EMM Solution became the first in the world to obtain the latest Common Criteria (CC) certification for Android and iOS operating systems from the National Intelligence Assurance Association (NIAP) of the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) last February.

CC certification is a mandatory certification system for the adoption of information security products by public institutions, and Samsung SDS has further strengthened security levels by expanding encrypted communication sections between servers and enhancing security algorithms to provide a newIt met the newly established CC certification standards.

In addition, Samsung SDS recently secured an additional indoor tracking project for a Singaporean public institution by integrating the latest technologies, such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, into its highly secure Brightics IoT platform.

Indoor Tracking is a system that prevents security incidents, such as information leakage, by applying Samsung SDS's latest IoT technology to identify visitors' real-time locations within a building and restrict access to secure areas.
