Ministry of Science and ICT Launches Integrated Data Map Service for Data Platforms in 10 Fields
Published2020.03.30 14:40The Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency will launch the 'Big Data Platform Integrated Data Map Service' starting on the 31st to allow users to view the status of big data platform data at a glance.
The data map service is a service that allows users to search for integrated data in 10 fields, including finance, environment, culture, transportation, healthcare, distribution, telecommunications, small and medium-sized enterprises, regional economy, and forestry, all in one place.
The Ministry of Science and ICT launches the Big Data Platform Integrated Data Map Service.
It supports the general public in conveniently utilizing data analysis and integration by providing visualized statistical information categorized by field, type, topic, and region, and by analyzing the correlation between data based on user-entered search terms through semantic search.
Users can receive analyzed and visualized cases on various topics, such as specialized fields and social issues, in the form of reports, and user accessibility has been improved by organizing the website addresses of 10 big data platforms and linking them to the data map.
In consideration of the recent global spread of COVID-19, the official COVID-19 website is linked to the data map, and related information, reports, articles, and academic research materials are provided.
Science and TechnologyThe Ministry of Science and ICT plans to expand the content of the Data Map platform and link it with various platforms, such as the AI Hub, which provides integrated support for essential AI development infrastructure (data, computing resources, etc.), and the Data Store, which supports data distribution and trading.

국가 바이오 빅데이터 구축 시범사업이 올해부터 추진된다. 향후 2년간의 시범사업 동안 연마다 희귀질환자 5천 명을 모집하고, 한국인 유전체 역학 조사사업과 울산 1만 명 게놈 프로젝트 등 선도사업과도 연계하여 역시 연마다 5천 명을 모집, 총 2만 명 이상의 임상 정보와 유전체 데이터를 구축할 예정이다.

KT develops COVID-19 spread prediction model using AI and big data.
KT is establishing a COVID-19 spread prediction research alliance with six research institutions in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology.
