Providing job seekers with up to 3 months of smart factory experience
Support for companies with experience allowances of up to 1.8 million won per person


The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it is recruiting small and medium-sized enterprises and job seekers to participate in the 'Smart Factory Construction Company Youth Experience Group Project' starting from the 1st.

Participating young job seekers are given the opportunity to work at companies that have adopted smart factories (up to 3 months), and participating companies are provided with training allowances for trainees (up to 1.8 million won per person).

The applicants for the project are companies that have hiring needs after introducing smart factories and young people aged 15 to 34 who wish to work in smart factories.

Young men who have completed their military service can participate up to the age of 39 by including their service period, and high school or college students can also participate by utilizing their vacation periods.

The recruitment scale for youth participants this year is about 460 people, and the number of participating companies is about 300. Companies related to materials and components can receive priority support.

Applications for participation can be submitted through the SME Human Resources Difficulties Center from April 1 until the budget is exhausted.

After application, the Korea Small Business & Startup Agency connects young people with companies by considering the applicants' desired conditions, such as region, industry, and size.

If both parties agree on hiring, an agreement is signed, and the youth experiences smart factory roles at the company for up to three months.

An official from Ian Hitech, a participating company last year, stated, "We hired eight young people by participating in this project," adding, "The young people quickly adapted to the work because they experienced the job for three months and received mentoring from professional staff within the company."
