Cisco and Google to Develop App-Centric Multicloud Fabric

Cisco Systems announced on the 12th that it will jointly develop 'Cisco SD-WAN Cloud Hub with Google Cloud,' an application-centric multi-cloud networking fabric, with Google Cloud.

With the recent rise in IaaS and SaaS consumption, more and more companies are using public clouds. Consequently, efficiently and consistently handling complex applications running across multiple clouds, including legacy applications running in existing on-premises data centers, has emerged as a key challenge for companies.
The network fabric that connects applications and users must be able to adapt to the optimal user experience, and applications must be able to leverage user and network analytics to maintain availability, security, and compliance.
Cisco SD-WAN Cloud Hub connects the network to apps, enabling critical security, policy, and performance information to move across network, cloud, and application boundaries. This allows businesses to improve customer experience and increase app availability.
It supports enhanced security compliance and secure connectivity through policy-based authorization and improved network segmentation between branches and the cloud, and simplifies network management by automating Cisco SD-WAN provisioning through the Google Cloud backbone.
Cisco and Google Cloud plan to preview Cisco SD-WAN Cloud Hub for Google Cloud in late 2020, with the solution expected to be fully available in the first half of 2021.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
