On the 14th, Intel Korea unveiled the '10th Gen Intel® Core™ S-series desktop processors,' including the 'Core i9-10900K processor,' for the first time in Korea via an online briefing. Pre-orders for the 10th Gen Intel Core S-series begin in Korea on this day.

Lee Ju-seok, Executive Director of Intel Korea, who presented the product, stated that the 10th generation Intel Core S series desktop processors offer up to 5.3GHz, 10 cores, and 20 threads.

Intel has also significantly updated its overclocking features. Users can enable or disable Hyperthreading per core and specify which cores and threads to apply it to. Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 identifies and utilizes the fastest cores to enhance performance. It utilizes the core best suited for a specific workload, and this function is performed without any separate work.

Executive Vice President Lee Ju-seok explained, “The 10th Gen Intel Core S-Series desktop processors support up to 187 frames per second during in-game streaming and recording, providing up to 63% more frames per second during gameplay compared to PCs from three years ago.” He added, “Video editing is up to 12% faster compared to the previous generation processors, and up to 15% faster compared to PCs from three years ago.” He also noted that overall system performance has improved by up to 31% compared to PCs from three years ago.

Connectivity has also been improved. The Intel Ethernet Connection I225 provides network speeds more than double that of 1GB Ethernet over standard Ethernet cables. The Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 has improved responsiveness and connectivity. Download speeds have increased by approximately three times.

Intel also introduced the '10th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processor'. The new vPro processor has added features to address the increased demand for remote work due to the spread of COVID-19.

Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) is included, and Intel Hardware Shield, Intel Trusted Supply Chain, Intel Active Management Technology, and Intel Endpoint Management Assistance features have been added.

PCs equipped with 10th generation Intel Core vPro processors are scheduled to go on sale within a few months.
