Chip and operating system receive CC EAL 6+ certification
Coil-on-Module Chip Packaging Eliminates Soldering Vulnerabilities


Infineon Technologies announced on the 23rd that it is supplying 'SECORA ID S', an easy-to-integrate security platform for contactless digital ID.

SECORA ID S is a Java-based solution that accelerates the design and production of card-type eIDs. It includes a security chip, operating system, and applets, meeting the security requirements of each country.

The chip and operating system have achieved a security international Common Criteria (CC) Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 6+ rating.

The SLC52G security chip provides the highest level of protection for cardholder personal information and offers storage capacity of up to 800KB.

Java Card Standard v3.0.5 software supports the development and testing of electronic ID cards, and customized applets accelerate document personalization.

Infineon's Coil-on-Module chip packaging technology, which bonds chips to the card without soldering them, eliminates weak points during soldering. Additionally, existing production facilities for contact-based cards can be utilized without significant investment.

SECORA ID S includes Infineon's eMRTD applet (CC EAL5+) and is now available.

Additional applets will be available from the Infineon Applet Collection and Masktech in the second half of this year.
