Korean Cloud OS Alliance Forms to Target Public DaaS Market

On the 31st, KT signed a business agreement with four companies, Tmax A&C, Hangul & Computer, Tilon, and Invesium, to jointly develop and activate a business model for creating a DaaS ecosystem for public institutions.

The signing ceremony held at the KT building in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of July 31, 2020 was attended by key officials from each company, including KT Cloud/DX Business Division Executive Director Dong-sik Yoon, Tmax A&C CEO Sang-wook Han, Hangul & Computer Business Division Head Dae-gi Kim, Tilon CEO Yong-ho Choi, and Invesium CEO Hyeong-chae Kim.
This MOU signing is intended to respond to the rapid changes in public institution work practices and public services to non-face-to-face formats due to COVID-19.
Based on the MOU, the companies will collaborate to develop and commercialize Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solutions for the public sector. We have decided to launch a cooperative service in the second half of the year and actively pursue the introduction of a public network separation service.
KT plans to design its own DaaS service based on its cloud service technology and operational capabilities, and provide technical support for development and compatibility verification for other operators.
Tmax A&C, Hangul & Computer, and Invesium plan to develop an open operating system and verify compatibility with public institution business and security solutions. Tilon plans to develop a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution as a service, boasting high compatibility with native operating systems.
The DaaS service, scheduled to launch in the second half of the year, will be located in KT's cloud data center, with KT experts handling maintenance and outage inquiries. Public institutions can access the service immediately upon application, paying only for what they use.

PTC와 로크웰 오토메이션과 마이크로소프트는 제조업체의 디지털 트랜스포메이션을 위한 클라우드 턴키 솔루션 ‘서비스로서의 팩토리 인사이트(FIaaS)’를 출시했다. FIaaS는 클라우드에서 턴키 형식으로 제공되며 실시간 생산 성능 모니터링, 자산 모니터링 및 활용, 커넥티드 작업 셀, 디지털 증강형 작업 지침 등의 디지털 트랜스포메이션 사례를 지원한다.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
데이터브릭스가 3월 24일 개방형 에이전틱 SIEM ‘레이크워치’를 공개하며 보안 시장에 진입했다. 이 제품은 보안, IT, 비즈니스 데이터를 단일 환경에서 통합 분석해 AI 기반 위협 탐지와 조사를 지원하는 것이 핵심이다. 회사는 고비용 구조 때문에 일부 데이터를 포기해온 기존 보안관제의 한계를 줄이고, 개방형 형식과 생태계를 바탕으로 대규모 데이터 분석과 자동화를 가능하게 한다고 설명했다. 레이크워치는 현재 프라이빗 프리뷰로 제공되며, 어도비와 드롭박스 등이 초기 고객으로 언급됐다. 데이터브릭스는 앤트로픽과 협력을 확대하고 안티매터, SiftD.ai 인수도 함께 발표했다.
