Schneider Electric announced on the 7th an expanded version of its Galaxy VS 3-phase UPS, featuring a built-in smart battery module. With a power range extending from 10 kW to 100 kW, it meets the unique needs of edge computing and critical infrastructure.

System availability is improved by up to 10x with support for internal N+1 module redundancy. The built-in smart battery module enhances availability by adding flexible battery configuration, self-monitoring capabilities, redundant battery string configuration, and self-configuration capabilities. This enables runtime prediction and battery redundancy, reducing risks from load.

Critical system components are modularly designed to provide faster service and greater fault tolerance. This also reduces load levels and mean time to repair. This increases uptime and simplifies maintenance. When operated in Schneider Electric's exclusive ECOnversion mode, it delivers up to 99% efficiency, allowing you to recover your initial investment in energy savings alone within 2-3 years.

Additionally, it can be monitored using EcoStruxure IT Expert and EcoStruxure Asset Advisor. The new Galaxy VS UPS is available worldwide, excluding Japan.
