Microchip announced on the 19th that it has released the 'EQCO125X40' transceiver, which supports the CoaXPress (CXP) 2.0 standard, a next-generation machine vision camera interface.

The EQCO125X40 transceiver repeats high-speed 8B/10B coded data signals at a downstream bit rate of 1.25 to 12.5 Gbps.

It supports Clock Data Recovery (CDR) at all speed levels and is equipped with a camera-side clock to meet real-world usage requirements.

Since the equalizer, cable driver, and reclocker are integrated into a single chip, it can be used as a △CXP transmitter inside the camera, a △CXP receiver inside the frame grabber, and a △CXP repeater inside the active coaxial cable or link.

The Microchip EQCO125X40 CXP 2.0 transceiver, suitable for embedded vision applications, is available in a 16-pin QFN package and is compatible with Microchip's CXP 1.1 device family.
