Samsung SDS Unveils Nexplant 3D Excellence
Quickly visualize 3D design data on the web and mobile.


3D design drawings have different data formats for each CAD (Computer Aided Design) product, making compatibility difficult. Therefore, expensive specialized software and a high-performance PC were required to view the drawings. There was also a risk of drawing leaks, making it difficult to collaborate between partners during the design phase, as well as to share information with production and construction sites.

Samsung SDS announced on the 3rd that it recently launched the 'Nexplant 3D eXcellence solution' that supports on-site sharing of 3D design data and non-face-to-face collaboration.

Nexplant 3D Excellence is compatible with over 30 types of 3D design data, reduces large amounts of data to enable quick visualization on the web and mobile, and enhances security with cloud-based streaming.

A Samsung SDS official said, “The new solution will enable collaboration between clients, construction sites, and partners by sharing 3D design data through the cloud.”

He added, “Even at overseas construction sites with poor network infrastructure, you can quickly access lightweight design drawings on your mobile phone, which can improve work efficiency,” and “You can also reduce costs by eliminating the need to install expensive CAD software.”

At manufacturing sites, design, production, and partner company managers who find it difficult to gather in one place due to COVID-19 can utilize Nexplant 3D Excellence's 'Design Meeting' function to remotely verify design data in real time and manage design change history.

In the customer support area, field engineers check the 3D manual with a mobile device to install the product and AYou can proceed with S, share videos with experts in the office, and receive real-time remote support. This allows for quick and easy 3D digital manual creation without physical samples, reducing training costs.

Samsung SDS currently provides Nexplant 3D Excellence to the home appliance, semiconductor, and construction/engineering industries. It plans to expand its business to the automotive, shipbuilding, and high-tech equipment sectors.
