Yonsei University holds opening ceremony for its Materials and Components Open Lab and Central Analysis Support Center.
The 2nd Gyeonggi Province Materials, Components, and Equipment Industry Symbiosis Forum will be held concurrently.

The Next Generation Convergence Technology Research Institute (President Joo Young-chang, hereinafter referred to as the FURI) announced on Tuesday the 27th the opening of the Materials and Components Open Lab, a basic research facility necessary for the development of materials, components, and equipment technology, and the Central Analysis Support Center to support the rapid and accurate resolution of technological challenges.
This event, held as part of the 'Self-reliance Research Support Project for Semiconductor/Display Materials/Components/Equipment Industry' (hereinafter referred to as the Research Support Project), was attended by approximately 70 people from industry, academia, and research organizations in the province, including Gyeonggi Provincial Council Economic and Labor Committee member Choi Se-myeong, Gyeonggi Province Future Growth Policy Officer Lim Mun-yeong, Yunggiwon President Joo Young-chang, Dongjin Semichem Vice President Kim Byeong-uk, and MK Electronics CEO Lee Jin.

The event on this day included a plaque ceremony commemorating the opening of the 'Materials and Components Open Lab and Central Analysis Support Center' and the '2nd Gyeonggi-do Materials and ComponentsThe 'Equipment Industry Symbiosis Forum' was held.

The Materials and Components Open Lab is a basic research facility that promotes research cooperation by providing a common research space freely available to small and medium-sized enterprises in the province, with a pre-processing room for experiments and sample analysis necessary for the development of materials and components equipment technology.

The Central Analysis Support Center is a research facility that supports advanced test analysis services. Experts in the field, including doctoral-level full-time researchers, provide rapid analysis results for test analysis requests. It is expected to be widely utilized not only by research support organizations but also by local companies requiring test analysis.

The 'Gyeonggi-do Materials, Components, and Equipment Industry Symbiosis Forum' is a symbiotic forum aimed at establishing a Gyeonggi-do-style industry-academia-research cooperation model that promotes the revitalization of a demand-linked industrial technology development ecosystem through productive research cooperation linking demand and supply companies.

The first forum, held on August 13, invited Samsung Display and LG Display to discuss future technologies in the display industry. The second forum, however, shared the results of best practices from the division's demand-linked research support projects, capturing the attention of local stakeholders from academia, industry, and research.
