Launch of a collaboration tool combining messenger, video conferencing, and task management into one

KT announced on the 2nd that it has launched KT Works, an all-in-one collaboration tool that combines messenger, video conferencing, and task management. KT Works is part of the KT Digital Works product family, a comprehensive non-face-to-face business solution for enterprises that includes video conferencing, collaboration tools, centralized document management, and cloud PC.
Unlike existing business messengers, KT Works embodies a philosophy of separating 'work' and 'communication' in the interface while strengthening real-time collaboration through the connection of functions.

By providing customers with an intuitive UI/UX, anyone can easily share materials and information and collaborate as if having a conversation. In particular, it addresses the shortcomings of existing messenger-based collaboration tools, where concentration is distracted by numerous notifications and usage is underutilized due to channel duplication, by separating collaboration functions into a work messenger and project-centric task management.

The interface was distinguished by a familiar messenger format for communication and a post timeline format for work sharing. In addition, it provides shortcut features on a post-style timeline to immediately launch video conferences or access important schedules, enabling collaboration to begin at any time while maintaining real-time communication.

Key features of KT Works include: ▲ a 'systematic workflow' that categorizes tasks into a five-step process and accurately assigns and checks the person in charge and the deadline within the organization; ▲ 'video conferencing integration' that allows for chatting and other activities whenever needed during a project; ▲ an 'invitation function' that enables external partners to easily participate in collaboration on a project basis; and ▲ a sophisticated 'notification function' designed with privacy protection and real-time work updates in mind.

In addition, security has been enhanced with features such as data encryption, access, viewing, and download controls, and secure chat.

Moving forward, KT plans to sequentially launch its Digital Works product line. In addition to KT SafeDoc, a document centralization product launched in August, and KT Works, launched today, the company will launch KT Meet, a video conferencing product, in November, and integrate DaaS, a cloud PC product, by the end of the year, thereby taking the lead in innovating the way companies work.

In addition, to maximize work convenience, we plan to continuously differentiate our services by applying KT AI technology and introducing KT’s ‘AI Assistant’ services in Digital Works, such as chatbots, GiGA Genie integration, and AI meeting minutes.
