The Ministry of Science and ICT (hereinafter MSIT) announced that it will establish and operate 'ICT Cyber World (hereinafter ICW),' an integrated platform for export support in a non-face-to-face environment, starting November 4 to support domestic information and communication companies struggling to find overseas markets following COVID-19.
ICW consists of a three-dimensional exhibition hall incorporating virtual reality technology and operates 24 hours a day. Anyone can view content and introductory videos from approximately 400 promising domestic companies in the information and communication industry, including artificial intelligence, big data, and cloud computing. In addition, themed conferences and forums will be held simultaneously online.

When conducting non-face-to-face consultations, convenience features such as company content introduction, search, and business card exchange are also provided so that overseas buyers and domestic companies can utilize ICW as a platform for communication to share export-related information.

The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to make multifaceted efforts to ensure that the ICW being launched this time enables information and communication companies to achieve tangible results in their global business activities by actively collaborating with relevant ministries and overseas embassies, even in a non-face-to-face environment.

In particular, through ICW, we plan to support the commercialization and globalization of the Digital New Deal by showcasing products and services provided as achievements of the Digital New Deal.

The establishment of this ICW platform is expected to serve as a stepping stone to solidify the monthly export performance of the information and communications industry, amidst the global economic downturn caused by COVID-19.

Minister of Science and ICT Choi Ki-young said, “I expect that ICT Cyber World will continue to develop and become a venue of opportunity for ICT companies and stakeholders living in the non-face-to-face era to create new markets and discover innovative services,” adding, “I hope this exhibition hall will establish itself as an integrated platform where global ICT stakeholders can share information and strengthen cooperation.”
