Rising 28 places to first place in the top 100 companies rankings
The effect of improving ESG, a company's non-financial performance indicators


Schneider Electric announced on the 28th that it ranked first in the 'Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World'.

The Global 100 Most Sustainable Companies, now in its 17th year, is an index evaluated by Corporate Knights, a Canadian media group and investment research firm.

The ranking evaluates the sustainability performance of 8,080 companies with revenues exceeding $1 billion based on ESG performance indicators such as the company's renewable energy and energy reduction rate, board of directors, and leadership. This year, new indicators include racial diversity in executive leadership and transparent corporate investor participation.

Schneider Electric, which improved its ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) performance, an indicator that measures a company's non-financial performance, rose 28 places year-on-year to become the world's number one company.

“Schneider Electric derives 70% of its revenue and 73% of its investment from smart solutions that improve customers’ energy efficiency,” said Toby Heaps, CEO of Corporate Knights.
