TLP241B, the only one among DIP4 optical relays
100V off-state output terminal voltage and
Provides 2A on-state current and 5kV insulation voltage


Toshiba Electronic Devices and Storage Corporation announced on the 5th that it has begun sample shipments and mass production of the high-current optical relay, 'TLP241B'. The new product is suitable for industrial equipment such as programmable logic controllers and I/O interfaces, as well as building automation systems such as HVAC equipment and temperature control devices.

The TLP241B incorporates a MOSFET based on Toshiba's latest U-MOS process. The off-state output terminal voltage is 100V, a 150% improvement over the previous TLP241A (40V). Among DIP4 package photorelays, the TLP241B is the only product in the industry to provide a 100V off-state output terminal voltage, a 2A on-state current, and a 5kV isolation voltage.

Unlike mechanical contact relays, the TLP241B, which lacks moving contacts that compromise reliability, operates at low current to extend product lifespan. Its compact package that saves PCB space and fast response time are also strengths. With a maximum rated operating temperature of 110°C, it allows for system designs with ample room for temperature regulation.
