Samsung SmartThings linked with Kakao i
Washing machine, dryer, air purifier, robot vacuum cleaner
Supports 4 types, and plans to add more home appliances in the first half of the year


On the 4th, Samsung Electronics established a strategic partnership with Kakao Enterprise to strengthen its smart home business. Through this partnership, Samsung Electronics' main smart home appliances will be linked with Kakao Enterprise's AI platform 'Kakao i'.

Consumers can operate Samsung home appliances connected to Samsung's 'SmartThings' through the 'Hey Kakao' and 'Kakao Home' apps equipped with Kakao i, and the 'Kakao Mini', 'Mini Hexa', and 'Mini Link' smart speakers.

There are four Samsung Electronics products that can be linked with the Kakao i platform: washing machines, dryers, air purifiers, and robot vacuum cleaners. Home appliances such as air conditioners, air dressers, and dishwashers are scheduled to be added during the first half of this year. There may be differences in linking functions depending on the model.

Samsung Electronics is expanding the SmartThings ecosystem by continuously discovering partners in various fields to provide smart home solutions.
