SK Hynix held a board meeting on the 30th and appointed Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho as CEO of SK Hynix. With this, SK Hynix will be operated by two representative directors: Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho and President Lee Seok-hee.

Vice Chairman Park will take charge of the corporate culture division, focusing on developing big-picture strategies to strengthen global competitiveness and identifying new business opportunities, while President Lee will be responsible for development, investment, and operations to enhance technology and product competitiveness.

In addition, the chairmanship of the board of directors, which was previously held by Vice Chairman Park, will be taken over by Senior Outside Director Ha Young-goo (former CEO of Citibank).

Chairman Ha Young-koo said, “In order to respond nimbly to the rapidly changing global semiconductor environment, we have transitioned to a system where each CEO is in charge,” and added, “Vice Chairman Park Jung-ho, who has managed SK Telecom for about four years, is expected to shape and lead the global ICT ecosystem.”

He added, “President Lee Seok-hee will be able to focus solely on securing cutting-edge technological competitiveness in key products such as DRAM and NAND, as well as on the acquisition of Intel and follow-up work.”

SK Hynix has transitioned to a board-centered management system starting this year, and has decided to make major decisions for the company based on subcommittees centered around outside directors, including the Future Strategy Committee, the Human Resources and Compensation Committee, the Audit Committee, the Sustainability Management Committee, and the Outside Director Candidate Recommendation Committee.
