Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, has been recognized by Intel as one of its top partners.

Applied Materials announced on the 31st that it received the Intel Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) Award in recognition of its outstanding performance in the field of supplier diversity in 2020.

This award selects the most outstanding companies by evaluating the contributions to continuous improvement and performance of Intel's partners over the course of a year.

As one of the seven best partners selected in 2020, Applied Materials truly demonstrates world-class performance,” adding, “These companies received the Intel SCQI Program Top Award in recognition of their unwavering commitment to quality, close collaboration with Intel, and determination to continuously improve, especially during a challenging past year.”

The Intel SCQI Awards are presented only to companies that receive the highest evaluations in the Intel SCQI program. The SCQI program is a multi-year roadmap designed for the continuous improvement of Intel partners who have achieved outstanding performance. Only a few hundred companies out of thousands of Intel partners worldwide are eligible to participate in the SCQI program.

In 2020, only seven of Intel's total partners won the Intel SCQI Award, proving themselves to be the best partners.

To receive the Intel SCQI Award, partners must exceed the highest expectations, achieve aggressive performance targets, and obtain a score of 95 or higher in a one-year performance evaluation. They must also achieve more than 90% of their improvement plans and demonstrate an excellent level of quality and business systems.
