Remotely connect to SKT Metatron Grand View service


SK Telecom announced on the 1st that it had signed a partnership agreement with Dongyang to promote smart factory projects. Dongyang is Korea's leading manufacturer of industrial blowers.

Industrial large-scale blower equipment is essential equipment for ventilation/exhaust/dust collection and combustion systems in the steel/metal/chemical manufacturing industries, and is used for boiler ventilation, tunnel ventilation, air intake for power generation fuel injection, dust collection in chemical processes, grain and powder intake, and exhaust in incineration processes.

The two companies pursued this collaboration to address challenges faced by blower installation plants using AI and cloud technologies. The core of this collaboration involves attaching vibration and current sensors and an LTE Category M1 modem to the motor and bearing, key components of blower equipment, and remotely connecting them to the "SKT Metatron Grandview" service.

SKT Metatron Grand View is a smart factory solution based on AI and cloud servers, and is a monthly subscription service. △Real-time monitoring, △Equipment anomaly and failure precursor alarms, △Equipment maintenance records and database, △After 3 to 6 months of data accumulation, we provide services such as facility-specific AI analysis modeling.

Dongyang plans to commercialize optimal temperature/vibration/current sensors and PLC data collection devices for industrial blower equipment. It will also provide consulting services for equipment such as motors connected to the blower pre- and post-processing, as well as construction expertise for large-scale environmental facilities such as incinerators.

Meanwhile, the two companies have been installing Grand View service on large blowers and motors at Dongyang Plant's Yesan plant since October of last year, and are continuing to stabilize and improve the service.
