XP Power has introduced a high-voltage DC-DC converter capable of fully regulating output voltages up to 6kVDC in a compact package for applications in analytics, semiconductors and detectors.

XP Power announced on the 6th that it recently launched the HRC05 series of 5W regulated series high-voltage DC-DC converters.

This product provides fully adjustable output voltages up to 6kVDC in a compact package.

Models in this series enable design engineers to perform high-voltage integration tasks with a full feature set as standard in a single, compact footprint.

It includes low line and load regulation (<0.01%) and excellent ripple performance (<0.01%), providing accurate and stable high voltage for long-term applications.

All models are approved to IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1, 61010-1 standards and are UKCA & CE marked according to relevant directives and regulations for global use.

The input voltage of the HRC05 series is nominally 24VDC and the operating range is 22VDC to 30VDC. This product is available in 18 models with positive or negative DC output ranging from 0V to 350V and 0V to 6,000V.

The output voltage can be adjusted from 0 to 100% using the onboard 0 to +5 VDC reference input, facilitating high-voltage integration and control. Voltage and current monitor outputs are also included in the standard package.

The PCB-mounted, convection-cooled unit measures just 65mm x 33mm x 14mm (WxLxH) and is housed in an internally grounded UL94V-0 rated encapsulation material and multi-faceted metal case, providing optimal mechanical integration and robustness for the overall system.

The HRC05 series operates at a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, with no output degradation. Output stability is within 100 ppm for 8 hours (after a 30-minute warm-up period).

The HRC05 series ensures the safety of both the device and the application in which it is installed through short-circuit, arc, overload, and overheat protection circuits, as well as remote on/off. Key applications include mass spectrometry, electrostatic chucks, detectors, capacitor charging, scanning electron microscopes (SEMs), and imaging and diagnostic equipment.
