Xiaomi is expected to gain momentum in its overseas business as it is removed from the U.S. government's blacklist.

According to foreign media reports, Xiaomi recently settled with the U.S. government and was removed from the list of companies linked to the Chinese military, following its re-filing of a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on January 31 regarding the list released by the U.S. government in January of this year.

In January of this year, the U.S. government made a surprise announcement regarding a "list of companies linked to the Chinese military" involving nine Chinese companies, and Xiaomi was included among them. As a result, Xiaomi's stock price plummeted, and at one point, its cumulative losses exceeded 30%.

Xiaomi also took immediate action and filed charges against the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Treasury Department in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on January 31.

It is reported that the U.S. government, the Department of Defense, and Xiaomi have recently reached a settlement and have drafted and submitted specific details of the final agreement to the court.

In particular, prior to this, a U.S. court ruled in March that it was inappropriate to classify Xiaomi as a military company and issued a preliminary injunction on March 12.

Consequently, Xiaomi was excluded from the list of Chinese military companies, the executive order was suspended, and restrictions on U.S. investors purchasing and holding Xiaomi stock were lifted.
