LG CNS Enterprise Data Platform
Application of VMware Cloud/Data Analysis Solutions
Plans to collaborate on cloud-based AI and big data businesses


VMware Korea and LG CNS announced on the 26th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on a cloud-based data analytics platform. The two companies plan to build a cloud-based data analytics platform that supports AI and machine learning and expand their AI and big data businesses.

VMware will integrate its cloud and data analytics platform, Tanzu Greenplum, into LG CNS's enterprise data platform, DAP MLDL (Data Analytics & AI Platform – Machine Learning / Deep Learning). A dedicated engineering team will support DAP MLDL to enable big data analysis on public clouds or VMware-based private clouds.

Tanju Greenplum provides a wide range of analysis and operational environments, including big data analysis utilizing AI and machine learning, integration with various data sources, disaster recovery (DR), and point-in-time recovery. This will enable DAP MLDL to rapidly analyze and scale large-scale workloads across the entire lifecycle from data analysis to distribution and operation.

VMware will also apply 'VMware Horizon Apps' and 'VMware vRealize Automation' to DAP MLDL to implement a developer-friendly environment, enabling the immediate launch and automatic deployment of applications required for data analysis. Through this collaboration, LG CNS will further enhance the existing DAP MLDL into an enterprise-grade cloud data analysis platform applicable to various industries such as finance, public sector, manufacturing, and telecommunications.
