Samsung Electronics Launches Highest-Grade LED Package Compliant with ErP and DLC Standards

Samsung Electronics launched the 'LM301B EVO' LED package on the 27th. The LM301B EVO features a white LED light source with a luminous efficacy of 235 lm/W, delivering color quality optimized for a variety of indoor environments, including schools, offices, and high-ceiling factories and warehouses.
Lighting standards are being strengthened to consider not only the energy efficiency of lighting but also the environment in which it is used. The European Energy Efficiency Labeling Regulation, ErP (Energy-Related Products), has raised the maximum rating to 210 lm/W or higher. The DesignLights Consortium (DLC), a U.S. lighting standard, has added red color reproducibility to present lighting standards optimal for indoor environments. The LM301B EVO package satisfies both ErP's highest grade, Grade A, and DLC's highest grade, Premium.
Samsung Electronics' LM301B EVO package effectively dissipates heat generated from the LED chip using Samsung Electronics' unique flip-chip technology, and maximizes light efficiency by applying a reflector structure inside the mold surrounding the LED chip to reduce light loss caused by light spreading outward.
Additionally, color reproducibility has been improved with improved phosphor mixing technology, enabling natural colors to be realized indoors while increasing light efficiency. When the LM301B EVO package is installed in indoor lighting fixtures, it is expected to be the next-generation eco-friendly light source solution, realizing industry-leading light efficiency and color quality while also enabling power savings.
The LM301B EVO package is built on the 3030 package platform with a width of 3.0mm and a height of 3.0mm, making it suitable for a variety of indoor lighting designs, from general products to premium lighting fixtures, and offers products with color temperatures ranging from 2700K to 6500K.
