Samsung Neo QLED has been recognized for its performance in providing consumers with an optimal audio environment, demonstrating the same level of sound performance in two viewing environments.

Samsung Electronics announced that Samsung Neo QLED has become the first in the industry to receive certification for 'Spatial Sound Optimization' technology from the German certification body VDE (Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker). The certification applies to models Q70A and above.

'Spatially Optimized Sound' is a certification granted by evaluating whether the sound is measured at the same level when the TV's technology is applied in two different viewing environments.

With this, Samsung Neo QLED has received three consecutive industry-first certifications from VDE, following 'Gaming TV Performance' and 'Eye Care' earlier this year.

To reduce such acoustic variations, Samsung Neo QLED is equipped with 'SpaceFit Sound,' a feature that delivers sound similar to what is heard in a standard listening environment.

'SpaceFit Sound' uses the TV's built-in microphone to identify overall elements affecting sound, such as curtains, carpets, and walls, and corrects the sound to suit each space.

For example, if a TV is located in a carpeted living room, and it is determined that the carpet absorbs mid-to-high frequency sounds, the mid-to-high frequency sounds are reinforced based on the analyzed data.

When a TV is installed close to the wall, the limited space behind it can alter the low-frequency sound; this feature identifies these factors and optimizes the output to produce clearer sound.

Recently, as the number of users customizing their home layouts according to their lifestyles increases, the spaces where TVs are installed are diversifying to include living rooms, workspaces, bedrooms, and kitchens, and standardized viewing patterns are also disappearing.

Because the sound a user hears includes not only the sound directly from the device but also a significant amount reflected off the surrounding walls, ceiling, and floor, even when installing the same device, the size and shape of the space...The sound perceived by the user varies depending on the material of the wall.

'SpaceFit Sound' provides sound optimized for the user's space by analyzing the environment based on the sounds of content actually consumed by the user.

It is also more convenient as it is an automatic function that does not require the user to manually press a test button or emit a test sound for measurement from the device.
