A place has been created where anyone can easily and enjoyably experience software and artificial intelligence education.

The Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Lim Hye-sook), the Ministry of Education (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Yoo Eun-hye), and the National Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity (Chairman Cho Yul-rae) announced that they will hold the '2021 Online Coding Party Season 1' for a total of six weeks from June 14 to July 25.

To participate, simply log in to the online coding party on the SW Centered Society Portal (www.software.kr) for free.

The 'Online Coding Party' is a national experience event that has been held online twice a year since 2015. It is organized with new and diverse programs every year so that anyone can experience the principles of creating software and artificial intelligence in an easy and fun way.

This year's 2021 Online Coding Party Season 1 will be held for a total of 6 weeks, extending the event period by 4 weeks compared to previous years, to allow participants to fully experience various programs and receive certificates.

The 2021 Online Coding Party Season 1 will consist of four categories: block coding, text coding, computational thinking, and artificial intelligence, and will feature 22 programs, the largest number of any online coding party to date. In addition, famous online SW/AI education programs from both domestic and overseas have been added, allowing you to experience an even wider variety of programs.

New programs with a variety of topics and difficulty levels have been added to ensure that all participants, from coding beginners to experts, can enjoy them. They are designed to provide new experiences with software and artificial intelligence by solving problems related to various subjects such as music and science through coding.

Additionally, the 'Hello Coding!' and 'Step by Step!' events will be held on the SW-centered social portal for participants of the '2021 Online Coding Party Season 1'.

We plan to give away prizes through a drawing to participants who collect at least two certificates issued upon completing each mission of the online coding party program, upload them to the event participation site via QR code (Hello Coding!), or respond to the online coding party survey (Step by Step!).

Kim Jeong-sam, the Software Policy Director of the Ministry of Science and ICT, said, “Now more than ever, software and artificial intelligence education is needed to prepare for the future,” and added, “I hope this event will serve as an opportunity for many people to become interested in and intrigued by software and artificial intelligence.”
