Agilent Korea Announces Arbitrary Waveform Generator for HDMI and MHL Sync Testing

Agilent Korea (CEO and President Deok-Kwon Yoon) announced support for HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia, Interface) and MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) sync testing through its M8190A arbitrary waveform generator and enhanced N5990A test automation software.
Agilent's new solution offers a new approach to sync testing and a more cost-effective and complete alternative to the existing Agilent E4887A TMDS HDMI signal generator platform. As the only single-box generator solution on the market, it reduces development costs while delivering more flexibility and accurate test results than other HDMI and MHL test solutions.

Agilent's new solution offers a new way to perform sink testing and a more cost-effective and complete alternative to the existing Agilent E4887A TMDS HDMI signal generator platform. And as the only single-box generator solution on the market today, it reduces development costs while delivering accurate test results with greater flexibility than other HDMI and MHL test solutions.
Agilent Korea said, “Agilent has been involved in the HDMI and MHL specifications since their inception,” and added, “We work with our solution partner, BitifEye, to address customer requirements and provide strong support for HDMI and MHL sync testing. Our newly enhanced product portfolio provides customers with the most suitable MHL and HDMI test solutions available anywhere.”
HDMI sync testing requires two arbitrary waveform generator modules in a single mainframe. Agilent's HDMI and MHL 2.0 arbitrary waveform generator sync test solution offers a cost-effective, compact configuration that eliminates the need for external clocks, jitter sources, and cable emulators. Additionally, the N5990A software, which features unique test automation capabilities across a broad range of industry-leading test coverage, controls the HDMI and MHL signal generator and oscilloscope.
Agilent's HDMI and MHL 2.0 sink test solution consists of an Infiniium 90000 Series oscilloscope and N5399B compliance test software for sink test calibration configuration, an M8190A-based HDMI and MHL signal generator, and N5990A test automation software from Agilent's solution partner, BitifEye. -End-
