ADI Launches First iCoupler Digital Isolator
ADN4624 provides up to 10 Gbps total bandwidth

Analog Devices (ADI) today launched the first member of its iCoupler® digital isolator series, offering a total bandwidth of 10 Gbps. The ADN4624 digital isolator provides four 2.5 Gbps channels, enabling seamless data transmission in the electrical domain.

The ADN4624 digital isolator simplifies design and allows for easy integration of isolation functions for safety or data integrity. Compliant with medical standards, it offers a compact solution that reliably isolates high-fidelity video and imaging links, precision analog front ends (AFEs), and serial interconnects, offering an alternative to complex, specialized fiber-optic solutions.

The new isolator, supporting 5.7kV rms isolation, isolates high-speed serial LVDS or CML without complex deserialization processes and provides precision timing with extremely low jitter (rms random jitter of less than 1ps, skew of less than 16ps). It also provides a high-precision ADC sampling clock to maximize ADC performance and resolution.

The ADN4624 digital isolator is available in volume production in a wide, fine-pitch 28-pin SOIC package, priced at $16.50 each in quantities of 1,000.
