The Carbon Convergence Industry Research Association has established a platform to train carbon composite material experts by imparting practical knowledge, technology, and know-how in the carbon field to master's and doctoral students at relevant universities and to promote cooperation between industry, academia, and research institutes.

From July 7th to 9th, the Carbon Research Association held the 'Carbon Composite Specialist Training Project C2-Camp' for students and management from four universities participating in the human resource training project, including Kyungpook National University, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Chonbuk National University, and Jeonju University, at Lotte Resort Buyeo for three days.

This event was organized to foster industrial technology innovation experts for the localization and advancement of carbon composite technology through the development and operation of industrial demand-oriented master's and doctoral programs for carbon composites, operation of industry-academia-research projects based on industrial demand, development and operation of field-tailored practical specialized training courses, and strengthening employment linkages and establishing a performance feedback system.

The event will include: △Announcement of carbon composite industry promotion policy and general operation committee meeting △Special lecture for sharing carbon companies’ industry trends and technology information △Strengthening employment capabilities △Company life mentoring and participatory theater and action learning programs to improve problem-solving skills were operated, and △feedback on participation in programs to strengthen employment capabilities and industry-academia-research networking were conducted.

In the special lecture on strengthening employment capabilities, CEO Kim Su-wook of JD Solution introduced recruitment and employment trends to help students understand the reality of employment, providing motivation for active job seeking and an opportunity to gain awareness of the reality.

In the Action Learning study, Dr. Mi-ok Kim of the Action Learning Strategy Research Institute presented on strengthening the practical capabilities and creative problem-solving capabilities of talents in the carbon composites industry, cultivating creative problem-solving capabilities from the industry's perspective, facilitation-based communication, and fostering talents who utilize decision-making.

Corporate lectures provided a general understanding of the carbon industry, industry trends, and technology information through the following topics: △Hyosung Advanced Materials on carbon fiber technology and applications, △Innocom on pressure vessel manufacturing and company introduction, △Introduction of carbon fiber composite materials, and △Lotte Chemical on Lotte Chemical.

Through this event, the Carbon Union explored ways to leverage its network to foster job-linked collaboration and increase employment rates. Furthermore, it conducted demand surveys, identified best practices, and encouraged participation in field training, focusing on students participating in the C2 Camp, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of the carbon composite field training program.

Meanwhile, the Carbon Research Association operates the C2 Camp twice a year as a regular, 3-night, 4-day non-curricular program, and strengthens practical connections through invited lectures by field experts from industry, academia, and research, and on-site field visits.

In addition, we are creating opportunities for exchange and joint learning through the participation of government agencies, universities, research institutes, and companies, and sharing carbon composite industry policies through invited lectures from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and specialized organizations.

In addition, we are promoting employment linkages through intensive mentoring by corporate mentors, employment-related seminars, and information sessions, and we are also actively pursuing collaboration in research on the latest carbon technologies held by each university.
