Mouser Supplies Renesas BLE Module, 'RX23W'
Supports BLE functionality for long-distance data processing


Mouser Electronics announced on the 9th that it is supplying Renesas Electronics' 'RX23W' module, which features a built-in antenna and oscillator. Measuring 6.1mm × 9.5mm, this module provides system control and Bluetooth® 5.0 Low Power support for IoT devices.

The Renesas RX23W module integrates the RX23W MCU to support Bluetooth 5.0 Low Power communication, including long range and 2 Mbps data throughput, and a receive sensitivity level of -105 dBm at 125 kbps. It can be used with Renesas' proprietary 'Trusted Secure IP,' which provides protection against threats such as eavesdropping, tampering, and viruses.

The RX23W module, certified under the Japanese Radio Waves Act as well as FCC/ISED (North America), CE (Europe), and Bluetooth SIG, reduces new product development time by eliminating the need for additional RF design work, tuning, or specialized RF knowledge. Applications for the RX23W module include medical, smart home appliances, building automation, PC and mobile peripherals, and industrial and IoT designs.

Mouser also supplies an RX23W module target board that integrates the RX23W module, two 36-pin headers for accessing all signals, and a USB port for programming and debugging.
