Samsung Induction Cooktop Wins Energy Star High-Efficiency and Advanced Product Award

Samsung Electronics' induction electric range (hereinafter referred to as induction) won the Energy Star 'High-Efficiency and Advanced Product Award (hereinafter referred to as ETA, Emerging Tech Award)' hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Samsung Electronics has once again proven the innovation of its high-efficiency energy technology by winning the induction category for the first time at ETA.
ETA is an award given to products that have applied innovative technologies to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions among the highest rated ENERGY STAR products, and has been in operation since 2011.
Samsung Electronics previously won ETA awards in 2013 for its dryer, in 2017 for its refrigerator, and in 2020 for its refrigerator with Advanced Adaptive Digital Inverter Compressor.
The induction hob (NZ30A3060UK) that recently won the ETA award is equipped with four burners, making it convenient to use cooking utensils of various sizes.
Additionally, it has enhanced convenience and safety by allowing users to check the operation of each burner using a mobile device based on Wi-Fi, and automatically turning on the 'lock' function to protect children's safety when going out using GPS.
Samsung Induction minimizes heat loss by spacing out the coils inside and applies an algorithm that optimizes output for each burner.Optimized melting energy consumption.
Additionally, high-efficiency inverter technology is applied to reduce standby power by cutting off the power supplied from the power conversion device except for essential parts that require standby power, such as the control panel, when the product is not in use.
Lee Ki-soo, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Home Appliances Business Division, said, “Samsung Electronics has achieved the remarkable feat of winning the ETA award for induction cooktops for the first time in the global industry by applying differentiated energy-saving technology,” and added, “We will continue to expand our product lineup that considers not only performance and design, but also environmentally friendly elements.”
