Vertiv, a company specializing in core digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, supports high-density data centers with liquid cooling technology.

Vertiv announced on the 18th that it recently launched Liebert® VIC, the first liquid immersion cooling solution for high-density data centers.

This solution was developed in collaboration with Green Revolution Cooling (GRC), a leader in single-phase immersion cooling for data centers.

Liebert VIC delivers improved cooling efficiency for high-density computing environments supporting increasingly data-intensive applications such as the Internet of Things (IoT), edge computing, and automation.

Liebert VIC is a single-phase liquid immersion cooling solution capable of supporting high-density loads of up to 100kW per rack using hot water.

This product uses ElectroSafe™ dielectric liquid refrigerant, an odorless, non-toxic, single-phase refrigerant that is electrically and chemically inert and has a heat capacity 1,200 times greater than air.

This high heat capacity means that servers with high heat density can be used more effectively. This means that cooling energy costs can be reduced by up to 95%.

The liquid cooling technology used by Liebert VIC reduces environmental issues such as moisture, dust and poor air quality.

Furthermore, by using hot water for cooling, Liebert VICs increase efficiency and reduce operating costs. Because they are less dependent on geographic climatic conditions, they can be installed anywhere. Their modular design allows for rapid installation within a matter of weeks, significantly reducing the need for new data center construction or renovation.
