Universal Robots, the world's leading global collaborative robot solutions company, will participate in 'Smart Factory + Automation World 2021,' Korea's largest industrial automation conference, held online and offline at COEX in Seoul from September 8th to 10th.

Universal Robots plans to present various ways for domestic manufacturers to overcome the limitations of their work environments by utilizing collaborative robots, helping them lead the post-COVID-19 era. In particular, the company will demonstrate various scenarios, including non-contact work environments, repetitive movement of heavy loads, and tasks requiring precise repetition.

The Universal Robots e-Series robots used in the demonstration are collaborative robots designed to safely operate alongside workers on production lines. Their ease of deployment and management allows them to overcome spatial constraints. With a base payload of 12.5 kg, the UR10e can carry loads exceeding 10 kg, which can be physically taxing, helping to prevent musculoskeletal disorders in workers.

At Universal Robots' booth, ▲palletizing ▲pick and place ▲screwdriving ▲soldering processes using Universal Robots collaborative robots will be demonstrated. Universal Robots' partners, including Asung, Das, Electrics, and Samwon, will participate in the demonstration and provide detailed explanations of how they each automated their processes, along with demonstrations of how to use them.

“Due to the impact of COVID-19, manufacturers are demanding improved work environments that ensure the health and safety of workers, including non-face-to-face work environments,” said Lee Nae-hyung, CEO of Universal Robots Korea. “Collaborative robots are the best solution for both management and workers, and we plan to showcase various use cases through this exhibition.”

Meanwhile, Smart Factory + Automation World 2021, themed "The Future of Digital New Deal," will feature approximately 450 smart factory, machine vision, and automation companies. The event will occupy the entire first and third floors of COEX, with Universal Robots located on the first floor, booth G114. An online exhibition will also be held concurrently for attendees unable to visit.
