The Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI, President Kim Young-sam) and Korea Trade Information and Communication Network (KTNET, CEO Cha Young-hwan) have joined hands to create a digital business environment without paper documents.

KETI announced on the 2nd that it has signed a business agreement with KTNET for digital transformation of work methods.

KETI is a key domestic research institute that expands corporate cooperation through the development of ICT convergence technology, and KTNET, as a national electronic trade infrastructure operator, provides domestic electronic document-related services such as electronic trade, certified electronic document centers, electronic import stamps, and joint certificates.

Based on this agreement, KETI and KTNET agreed to create a paperless digital business environment and establish carbon neutrality measures.

Through this memorandum of understanding, the two organizations plan to promote the digitalization of work methods by cooperating on the following areas: △digital transformation of document processing and storage, △expanding the use of electronic contracts, △expanding the issuance and distribution of digital certificates, and △advanced technology-based next-generation authentication and security projects.

First, with the introduction of the trust scan system, KETI's paper documents will be paperless (PBy implementing a (aperless) and operating an electronic contract system, we are promoting automation of contract work that has been mainly conducted in person or by hand.

Additionally, to improve efficiency in the workplace, we will cooperate in expanding distribution by issuing digital certificates instead of the previously issued paper certificates, and we will join hands in developing a data security and authentication platform based on cutting-edge technologies such as blockchain and quantum cryptography.

KETI President Kim Young-sam said, “With the continued non-face-to-face work environment following COVID-19, the role of digital document distribution platforms is becoming increasingly important,” and added, “I hope to build an optimal platform by combining KTNET’s electronic document and security services with KETI’s blockchain and quantum cryptography convergence technologies.”
