It is predicted that TSMC will implement a price increase of more than 10% next year, along with several price hikes this year.

Taiwan's Commercial Times published an article on the 25th stating that TSMC would proceed with an additional price hike.

According to this, the increase is expected to be over 10% for the latest processes such as 7nm, while existing processes of 16nm or higher are expected to increase by 10–20%.

The timing of the price increase was expected to be the first quarter of 2022.

This price hike is understood to be due to increased orders amidst a worsening global semiconductor shortage caused by supply shortages and various unforeseen events since last year.

Meanwhile, major foundries including TSMC, UMC, and SMIC have raised prices several times over the past six months.
