Global semiconductor equipment sales in the second quarter of this year,
$24.9 billion, up 48% year-on-year


The Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) announced on the 8th that global semiconductor equipment sales in the second quarter surged 48% year-on-year, reaching a record quarterly sales of $24.9 billion, according to its latest Worldwide Semiconductor Equipment Market Statistics (WWSEMS) report. This represents a 5% increase compared to the first quarter.

Meanwhile, the WWSEMS report cited in this announcement summarizes the monthly sales of the global semiconductor equipment industry, including wafer processing, assembly and packaging, testing, and other front-end process fields (mask/reticle manufacturing, wafer manufacturing, fab facility equipment).
