Supermicro today expanded its single-processor system portfolio based on the Intel Xeon E-2300 and 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. The new systems enable Supermicro customers to optimize precise configurations for each application, from entry-level intelligent edge servers to data center-class systems.

Equipped with the Xeon E-2300 processor, MicroBlade® and MicroCloud support applications that require high-density computing infrastructure, such as content streaming, EDA, interactive gaming, and bare metal cloud instances.

New single-socket 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor-based systems, such as the '6U SuperBlade®', are ideal for high-density multi-node applications.

Supermicro's SuperServer E403 wall-mount edge server for telecommunications environments delivers outstanding performance at an affordable price by leveraging more cores, greater memory capacity, and faster I/O.

Supermicro's new single-socket system delivers the performance and features to support expanding data center workloads and brings data center-class performance to the edge.

PCIe eliminates bottlenecks and speeds up applications compared to previous-generation processor systems. It features 4.0 I/O and supports Intel SGX security features. It can be used in various form factors, including multi-node servers, rackmount servers, and workstations.

Systems based on single-socket 3rd Gen Xeon Scalable processors support up to 16 DIMM slots, 4TB and 6TB of DRAM, and Intel® Optane® Persistent Memory (Intel® Optane® PMem). Systems based on the Xeon E-2300 processor deliver the server performance required by small and medium-sized businesses, with up to 8 cores and 128GB of DDR4 memory at a TDP of 95W.

The new servers, optimized for single-socket applications that integrate the 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, include: SuperBlade (a high-density multi-node system); 5G/Edge (configurable mobile network and data center-class computing at the intelligent edge); Mainstream (a versatile rackmount server for enterprise applications); WIO (an I/O-optimized rackmount server); and Storage (an enterprise-optimized storage system).

New Supermicro servers powered by the Intel Xeon E-2300 include MicroBlade (a scalable, multi-purpose, multi-node solution), MicroCloud (a high-density system for dedicated or scalable cloud hosting), WIO (a cost-effective, I/O-optimized rackmount server), and Mainstream (an entry-level enterprise rackmount server).
