TSMC is reportedly planning to build six new 7nm process factories and begin operations as early as 2023.

TSMC announced on the 7th that it plans to build another production center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, China.

According to the plan, six factories will be built locally, with a total investment reportedly amounting to hundreds of billions of Taiwan dollars.

The plant is expected to be operational as early as 2023.

TSMC has been rapidly building factories around the world in recent years, announcing plans to build a factory in the United States and a wafer fab in Japan.

A factory in Arizona, USA, is already under construction, and the next overseas construction site is said to be Germany.

TSMC currently has nine manufacturing sites in Taiwan: four 12-inch ultra-large wafer fabs, four 8-inch wafer fabs, and one 6-inch wafer fabs.

TSMC aims to achieve annual sales of $100 billion by 2030.
