Huawei announced that it will set out to build a diverse software ecosystem through seven innovations in digital infrastructure.

Huawei announced on the 30th that it unveiled seven innovations in the digital infrastructure sector at its recently held 'Huawei Connect 2021' event and will create even more value for customers and partners over the next 10 years.

In a keynote speech titled "Leading Digital Infrastructure Innovation," David Wang, President and General Manager of Huawei’s ICT Products and Solutions, stated, "The intelligent world is rapidly unfolding, and digital infrastructure is key to building it." He added, "As the world faces unprecedented challenges, Huawei will continue to pursue customer-centric innovation."

He explained, “Huawei is striving to support use scenarios for key applications such as digital offices, smart manufacturing, and Wide Area Network (WAN) data centers, and to enable the faster deployment of digital infrastructure worldwide.”

He recently announcedIntroducing the 'Huawei Intelligent World 2030 Report,' it predicted that “by 2030, the number of device connections worldwide will exceed 200 billion, monthly data per mobile phone user will reach 600GB—a 40-fold increase from now—computing capacity will increase more than 10-fold, and the scale of data generation will increase 23-fold from now, reaching 1 yottabyte for the first time.”

He added, “All of this will provide new challenges and opportunities for the digital infrastructure sector over the next 10 years.”

The seven digital infrastructure innovations announced by Huawei are: Digital Meeting Room: Intelligent Office Twins; Huawei OptiXsense: Rapid pipeline inspection; Industry's first Deterministic IP Network Solution: Realizing the digital factory; H-OTN: Leading innovation in secure production networks; Industry's best IP Network Solution: Using computing resource scheduling across different regions; OceanStor Pacific: The dawn of the High Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) era; and Huawei CC Solution: The industry's first diverse computing service platform.

David Wang, President of Huawei’s ICT Products and Solutions, stated, “Future digital infrastructure will require a broad software ecosystem in addition to new and innovative hardware,” and pledged, “Huawei will continue to collaborate with global partners, developers, and open source organizations to build a diverse, open software ecosystem.”
